CB: My first tattoo encompasses two of those things. My first tattoo I got when I was 18, and there was a girl here that worked here, and I thought she was just smokin’ hot. She had this rock-hard body, and tatted from her neck all the way down to her feet; like almost every inch of her body was tattooed. And I thought she was a goddess, so I was like, “I want her to tattoo me.” So she did this tattoo over here; it’s Pisces. I was like, “I want Pisces like this,” and then she drew a quarter sleeve on. It goes from here all the way up to here. It’s kind of crazy. So I was like, “Alright.” And I did it, sat there for five hours and got the outline done-- which is a really long time, by the way, to get an outline done. And she had a really heavy hand; it was not the best experience. And she drew these little alien faces--let me see if I can pull my sleeve up. She drew these little alien faces on the fish, you see that? It’s like, it’s kinda, it looks like a girl did it, right?

RB: Uh huh. . .

CB: Yeah. So, needless to say, I was stoked cuz I felt like I was tougher or something, I got it done, but it’s not a tough tattoo, you know? And then she bailed, she didn’t finish it, cuz she just did the outline and bailed, I paid her for the whole thing, and so eventually--Sean’s cousin works here and he ended up coloring it in for me. It was just. . . it was a nightmare.

RB: So that was the first and the regrettable?

CB: And the most regrettable.

Pinkie Finger on Right Hand - (birthstone in gold ring) That's Chester's birthstone for March in a gold ring, given to him as a gift for his 21st birthday.

Символ любви и дружбы, татуировка, приносящее счастье.По японской легенде карп, преодолев пороги и поднявшись протв течения по Желтой реке до Врат Дракона (или Врат Радуги),выпрыгивает из воды и превращается в дракона.Символ стойкости и выполнения своего предназначения.

7. Седьмая Hybrid Theory Soldier 15.11.2000   

Lower Left Calf - (Hybrid Theory Soldier) Done by Dee from Jacksonville, Florida. You can watch Chester getting this tattoo done in his dressing room of the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida on the Frat Party DVD. Dee has become a good friend of Chester's (he's a guy by the way) and did this piece for free. Chester did this tatoo on a whim and didn't discuss it with Samantha first. She saw it though and "fell in love with it" but said "Don't ever do that again!"

Lower Back - (Linkin Park lettering in old English) Done by Jeff Tilman from Tattoo Deluxe in California. Chester made a bet with Jeff that if Linkin Park went Platinum he would do his lower back for free. Supposedly this tattoo is not done, it's also supposed to have dragons as well.

Поясница - надпись Linkin Park старо-английским стилем. Результат спора - если альбом Hybrid Theory станет платиновым, Честер получит тату бесплатно. Так оно и случилось. Честер говорил, что было очень больно.

10. Десятая - Драконы на спине 2002- 5 марта 2003 кто знает точнее?

Левая часть спины - зеленый дракон
Правая часть спины - красный дракон (Честер родился в год огненного красного Дракона)
Фон - клубы дыма в виде спиралей, а также лепестки и цветы сакуры (традиционный японский стиль)

Два «борющихся», соревнующихся дракона, глядящих друг на друга, представляют дуализм сил инь-ян, всех противоположных и взаимодополняющих сил, сил небесных и земных, обычно между ними изображают либо Солнце, либо «жемчужину небесную», Луну

Часто дракона изображают с «драконьим шаром» или «пылающей жемчужиной». Имеются различные толкования этих изображений: это либо раскаты грома, либо имеется в виду, что, когда Луна, носительница дождя, убывает, ее заглатывает дракон, а когда она прибывает — это знак того, что он понемногу ее выплевывает. В даосизме и буддизме это «жемчужина, исполняющая все желания», жемчужина совершенства, иными словами, мудрость, светоч и духовная суть вселенной. Она может представлять Боддхисаттву в процессе непрерывного просветления.

Чаще всего драконов изображают среди облаков, волн, огня либо дымки, что опять же связно с привычными нам элементами восточных графических традиций.

Как символ силы ян и небесного начала Лун часто изображается крылатым существом, повелителем облаков, туч, дождя, парящим в облаках или плывущим в волнах и объятым языками пламени, — видимо, символ грозы как соития неба и земли (в древнекитайской космогонии дождь есть слияние неба и земли, столь важное для земледельческого населения)

• цветок сакуры, у которой «лепестки опадают даже при легком дуновении точно так же безропотно, как и самурай отдает жизнь за своего господина». Это символ проходящего времени и непрочности жизни;

Parked in the back office, Bennington points to the large koi fish on his left biceps. “This was my first when I was 18. There was a girl named Jodi [Wendt] who I thought was super fucking hot who worked here. I wanted her to give me my first tattoo so she would be forced to lean over me for five hours. I wanted a Pisces symbol, and it turned out to be this thing with these weird fish and these stupid faces. But it’s my first tattoo and it has sentimental meaning.”

Finishing an album with Linkin Park means that a lot of touring is ahead for Bennington. And while he enjoys interacting with his fans, the road experience can be brutal. In fact, that lifestyle is what gave Bennington the idea for his newest tattoo—a zombie gypsy woman who represents how he feels on long tours. While on the road, he’s seen some interesting things and some tattoos he’s not into—including those on a fan in China who copied all of Bennington’s ink on his own skin. “He was like, ‘Dude check me out!’ And I thought, I fucking hate you. It really bothers me,” Bennington says, adding that he doesn’t like it when fans copy his signature flame tattoos. “If you’re going to get flames on your wrist, get flames on your wrist. Don’t get my flames on your wrist.” But he says the most disturbing Linkin Park tattoo is actually his own—the band’s name on his back. “I had decided if I ever sell a million records, I’m going to get that band’s name on me,” he says. “The words are great, the design is cool,” but, he says, it represents something he just didn’t think would ever happen.
