Show Notes:
- This show was the first performance ever of 'Breaking The Habit'. A fan that went to the show remarked, "And yes, Breaking the Habit was quite a suprise....even Chester said before they started the song that they were never going to play it live."
- Linkin Park stirred up the crowd even more by inviting Xzibit — who was greeted with a sea of pumping fists and X-crossed arms — onstage for some rap-metal ecstasy on 'It's Goin' Down'.
- Cypress Hill's B-Real and Body Count's Ice-T joined Linkin Park on 'One Step Closer'.
- It is unknown whether 'Nobody's Listening' was extended or not.
- This is POSSIBLY the first time ever that the 'From The Inside' intro was played.

Linkin Park: The Making of "Minutes to Midnight"

For years, Santa Barbara filmmaker Mark Fiore has been working with Linkin Park to bring you exclusive video content from behind the scenes. Mark spent time in the studio with the band during the making of Minutes to Midnight and later produced a documentary capturing the experience. For those of you in the Santa Barbara area, we recommend that you check out the Santa Barbara International Film Festival to catch this documentary, plus a screening of “Given Up” (also directed by Mark) and “The Seed” directed by Joe Hahn.

Following the screening Mark, Joe, and Phoenix, will lead a discussion about music and film!

"Вообще-то, ничего нового-то и не показали. Первым было видео "The Making of Minutes to Midnight", потом фильм "The Seed" и наконец клип "Given Up". Было интересно все эти увидеть эти видео на большом экране, ну и еще интересней было смотреть их вместе с членами группы.
После просмотра ведущий спросил у Марка (Марк Фиори (Mark Fiore) - режиссер видео "The Making of Minutes to Midnight" и "Given Up"), как он начал работать с Linkin Park. Джо как всегда был в своей манере и шутил и отпускал разные комментарии, а Феникс рассказал парочку интересных историй.
Дальше зрителям дали возможность задать свои вопросы, и я спросил у Марка будет ли он заниматься дальшейшей работой над видео Linkin Park. Thrash Hits Exclusive: Metallica & Linkin Park to headline Knebworth

Well, we were the first to get wind of it back in November, and now here we are as the first to concrete-confirm it - Thrash Hits can exclusively confirm that Metallica are indeed booked to headline at a new two-day festival at Knebworth this July.
The Thrash Hits team is nothing if not dedicated to deep-cover investigative journalism (ie, drinking whiskey in the Cro Bar), where our investigations (ie, eavesdropping) means we can also confirm that Linkin Park will be headlining the other day of the festival. And that’s not all – the festival is going to be touring Europe, visiting possibly six countries across Europe. This would back up claims made by a Finnish newspaper that a Metallica/Linkin Park headlined festival will be taking place this summer in the Finnish city of Pori.

We did also hear the mooted name for the festival, but it’s so face-slappingly awful we don’t want to mention it on the off-chance the promoters realise how terrible it is and change it to something better. Yes, it’s even worse than “Download” as a festival name. Among the other acts rumoured to be joining the bill are a great many acts previously featured on Thrash Hits. Ahem. Whether or not any of these acts do join this new European festival juggernaut - let alone the Knebworth leg - remains to be seen.

An official announcement is apparently going to be made at 10am on Monday, but remember where you heard it first.

Metallica, Linkin Park confirmed to play 2009 Sonisphere festival in Knebworth

Metallica and Linkin Park are set to play at the 2009 Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth on August 1 and 2. Sonisphere is a touring festival that is also playing in Holland, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Finland. Linkin Park will take the main spot on Saturday, with Metallica closing Sunday. Linkin Park will also join Metallica on Saturday, July 25 in Kirjurinluoto, Pori, Finland, tickets on sale February 16. Watch Lars' message and read an interview with festival promoter, Stuart Galbraith where he talks more about the event.

Metallica, the American heavy metal band, which has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, will headline Sonisphere at six European venues in 2009, with the tour set to be expanded into the Far East and Australasia next year. The only other act confirmed to appear this year is Linkin Park, the American nu-metal band, but the organisers are promising a “broad church” of around a dozen rock groups. Others rumoured to be in the frame for a slot include Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Muse, the Foo Fighters and the Stereophonics.

The 2009 Sonisphere festival tour will play in Holland, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Finland, before culminating in a two-day event at Knebworth on the weekend of August 1-2, with a capacity of 60,000 each day. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, priced at Ј125 for the weekend. More details
